Comment | An indicator that has absolutely no meaning for the Czech Republic. It maps what percentage of schools are: - connected to electricity - provides internet for educational purposes - provides computers for educational purposes - has adapted infrastructure and study materials for children/pupils with special educational needs - provides access to drinking water - provides separate toilets for boys and girls - provides soap and water for washing hands Such data are usually not collected at all in the Czech Republic, also for the reason that without a connection to the electricity grid, toilets and running drinking water, classes would not be allowed in the school at all. Internet connection and computers for teaching are standard, in the Czech Republic there were approximately 4% of schools without internet connection in the 2021/22 school year (361 schools, of which the vast majority are kindergartens, only 3 elementary schools and 2 upper secondary schools). According to the amendment to the Education Act, a child/pupil with diagnosed special educational needs is entitled to aids or an assistant according to the diagnosis assigned in a pedagogical-psychological counseling center or in a special educational center. |
