Definition | Method of determination The incidence of newly diagnosed mental illnesses is calculated as the proportion of patients with a newly diagnosed illness in the National Register of Paid Health Services out of the total population for a particular year. The result is presented separately for selected diagnostic areas and selected diseases. The data source for this calculation is the National Register of Paid Health Services managed by ÚZIS. Mental illnesses are defined using a code according to the International Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, 10th revision (ICD-10) both in outpatient and inpatient care, if the given diagnosis was reported at least once during the year in the main or secondary position. The source of population data is the CZSO as of July 1. of the given year. |
