| Relevance/rationale of the indicator (resp. why the indicator was chosen to measure the target and how it is suitable for these purposes) | The average size of an integral block of arable land corresponds both to the susceptibility of the soil to erosion and gives an idea of the diversity of the landscape. The Czech Republic has a large average area of land block, while its landscape is highly rugged and over 50% of agricultural land is threatened by water erosion. |
