Definition |
Hazardous waste is defined as a waste that displays one or more of the hazardous properties listed in the Commission Regulation (EU) No 1357/2014 of 18 December 2014 replacing Annex III to Directive 2008/98/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on waste and repealing certain Directives. |

Comment |
As we only know what waste was exported to which country, but we no longer know how the country treated it, we are not able to fully comply with the required methodological calculation, when the import of waste destined for a given waste treatment is deducted from the amount of treated waste (for each type of treatment) and the export of waste for a given treatment is added. Therefore, the indicator deviates slightly from the methodology required by the UN. |
